When I first started my photography business, one of the first things my daughter Devin and I talked about was her senior portraits. How much fun we would have, where we would go, what she would wear. We talked about it for a couple of years. I can’t believe how fast that time went by.

So we did have a lot of fun – we went to Sanford to our favorite and the coolest bookstore, Maya Books & Music in Sanford. Devin is a lover of all things literary, art, music and theater and we loved to peruse the great old finds there – so this was the perfect place for Devin’s portraits. Her sweetie Ryan tagged along too.

Devin graduated from high school last week. I am so crazy proud of her – not just for graduating but for her amazing talent, intelligence, beauty and (mostly) for her very big, kind heart. I am so lucky that she has gone from my little sweet girl to my really wonderful friend.

Devin – I have no doubt that you will conquer your goals and fearlessly pursue your biggest dreams. You are one-of-a kind, full of power and strength – and you love with your whole heart, which I really, really admire about you. Wherever you are in life, you can come home. I will be here – always. I love you.
